The Policy Open Comment Period is a mechanism that provides the Georgia Tech campus community an opportunity to have a voice in the policy process on newly proposed Institute policies and when substantial changes are made to existing Institute policies. There is currently one policy open for comment until April 20, 2026: 

Mobile Communications Device Policy (formerly titled: Wireless Communication Devices/Mobile Phone Services): This existing policy is being updated to ensure alignment with University System of Georgia’s IT Handbook, Section 8, Mobile Device Management. The policy has been clarified to expectations for how MCDs are approved, acquired, managed, and used, to strengthen institutional stewardship while supporting operational and cybersecurity requirements. Throughout the policy, terminology has been updated in addition to the removal of the reimbursement for privately-owned mobile devices/services.
