The Policy Open Comment Period is a mechanism that provides the Georgia Tech campus community an opportunity to have a voice in the policy process on newly proposed Institute policies and when substantial changes are made to existing Institute policies. There are currently two policies open for comment until May 14, 2024.


Update - Subawards and Subcontracts Under Sponsored Awards:
This policy outlines federal requirements and roles and responsibilities for management of Subrecipients, including appropriate identification of the Institute’s Subrecipients. Throughout, procedures were removed, content was updated to address federal requirements, and roles and responsibilities were clarified. Changes to roles and responsibilities reflect current practice and do not impose new responsibilities. Due to significant changes, only a clean copy of the policy is attached. Update - Subrecipient Monitoring:
This policy outlines the Institute’s responsibilities for ensuring compliance with federal and other sponsor requirements for monitoring its Subrecipients and achievement of performance expectations. Throughout, revisions were made to reflect current practice and remove language interpreted to require more procedures than necessary to provide appropriate internal control and comply with federal and state law. Due to significant changes, only a clean copy of the policy is attached. The current policy can be found here.
